March 2, 2026 Meeting – Spring Show Prep

M ake sure you don’t slip on the ice (!) as you remind yourself that Spring is not that far away here in the Rochester area. At this month’s in-person meeting, we’ll be going over orchid show preparation: volunteering, some plant registration, display building, staging plants for a display, what judges look for in flowers, and a repotting demonstration.

Our meeting place is at the Louis S. Wolk JCC of Greater Rochester, 1200 Edgewood Ave, Rochester, NY, 14618. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and we’ll get the meeting underway at 6:30 p.m.

If your orchids are in bloom, bring them to the meeting for our Show Table! They’ll be great for demonstrating how to stage plants for the show.
